JOIN US FOR SUNDAY WORSHIP!
At 10:00 a.m. on Sundays, McMurry United Methodist Church offers both in-person and online worship services. The in-person service is held in the sanctuary of the church, where attendees are greeted with warm smiles and welcoming hearts. The atmosphere is one of reverence and joy as the congregation gathers to sing hymns, pray together, hear Scripture readings, and receive a message from the pastor. The music ranges from traditional organ pieces to contemporary praise songs, led by a talented choir and instrumentalists.
For those who prefer or need to stay home, the church also provides an online worship experience through their website and social media platforms. This virtual service includes many of the same elements as the in-person service, such as prayers, hymns, and sermons, allowing people to connect with God and their faith community no matter where they are located. Whether attending in person or joining online, the worship services at McMurry UMC offer a meaningful spiritual experience for all who participate.

PLAYGROUND FACELIFT
Thanks to your generous donations, the playground facelift is almost done. We have enough to add the GaGa Pit that the men wanted to add to the playground area. They are excited to be able to make this addition. Be on the lookout for this throughout the coming weeks.

FOOD PANTRY OUTREACH
For April we are collecting, pasta sides and muffin mixes. As of Sunday, April 21st, we have collected 223 pasta sides and muffin mixes. and 39 other items for a total of 264. Way to go, McMurry!
McMurry United Methodist Church has a strong commitment to serving its local community, which is exemplified through its Food Pantry Outreach program where each month we deliver food to Avondale Church for their pantry. Each month, the church collects specific items to donate to families in need in the area. In January, the focus is on personal hygiene products, including toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, and hairbrushes. These essential items can often be overlooked when it comes to food pantry donations, but they are just as important for maintaining good health and well-being.
The Food Pantry Outreach program relies heavily on the generosity of church members and visitors to make it successful. Donations can be dropped off in the designated collection bins in the lobby of the church during regular business hours or before and after Sunday worship services. Volunteers then sort and package the donated items into care packages that are distributed to individuals and families in need. Through this outreach initiative, McMurry UMC aims to help Avondale Church provide not only physical nourishment but also dignity and hope to those in need in its surrounding community.
